I don't know how to rate this book. While I enjoyed and felt emotional, I can't say I liked the characters. Matt was way too fucked up and James was way tooooo forgiving; the friends were toooo nosy. I liked the housekeeper of them all.I really liked the story, but it was just too much cruelty, not enough grovelling. I understand Matt was in denial and he was hurt, but I was super happy when Matt got the shit kicked out of him by James. That was a good scene :) Matt should have gotten his ass kicked several times over.While I can't say I loved this story, I did enjoy reading it. There was not a lot of emotional investment in the story, I did want James to have a happy ending.... he deserved it. And while Matt wasn't a prince, I did feel for him towards the end of the book.
